For the trade
The flooring subcontractor who doesn't blow up your schedule.
For builders, remodellers and interior designers across the Valley: one named contact, hardwood only, and crews who understand that a delayed floor delays six other trades.
What we're good for
Olympic Hardwood is a supply-and-install hardwood specialist with a Phoenix showroom. We work directly with homeowners and we work as a subcontractor on custom builds and whole-house remodels. On a trade project, three things tend to matter more than the product.
We arrive when the schedule says
Flooring sits late in the sequence, which means it inherits every delay ahead of it and gets blamed for every delay after it. We plan around acclimation and slab moisture rather than pretending they don't exist — because a floor rushed in before the slab is ready is a callback three months later, on your warranty.
We can pick up someone else's mess
In 2023 a couple in the middle of a whole-house remodel had to fire their original flooring company for shoddy work. We took over at the floor-levelling stage, re-levelled the entire house, and completed the wood flooring and baseboards on an already-wrecked schedule. If you're mid-project and the flooring trade isn't working out, that's a call we've taken before.
We do the detail work that shows in photographs
Undercut walls, floating wall boards, flush transitions into brick and stone, floor outlets planned rather than improvised, herringbone, stairs across mixed subfloors. The Windy Walk Estates case study is the clearest example of what that means in practice.
For interior designers
Your client needs to see and touch the floor, and they need to see it in the right light. We'll pull a curated set of samples against your spec — species, width, texture, sheen, colour — rather than sending a generic case, and we'll bring them to the client's house or meet you both at the showroom outside normal hours if that's easier.
Because we only sell hardwood, we can tell you honestly which board will hold a particular stain, which texture will survive the client's dogs, and which sheen will stop the west-facing great room looking like a skating rink at 4pm.
For builders and remodellers
- Supply and install from one company — no gap between the material supplier and the installer to argue across
- Slab preparation included — grinding, levelling and moisture testing, plus dust-contained tile removal on remodels
- Baseboards and trim handled as part of the scope, not left for the finish carpenter
- Written, itemised estimates — the thing clients consistently say ours does better than the alternatives
- One point of contact for the whole job, on the phone rather than in a ticket queue
Bring us in early
The cheapest moment to solve a flooring detail is at the drawings stage. Wall undercuts, threshold heights, slab flatness specs, where the floor changes direction and how it meets tile — all of it is trivial on paper and expensive once the drywall is up. We'll look at a set of plans without charging you for it.
A jobsite on a custom build - framing or drywall stage, floor going in around other trades.
A finished detail a designer would specify: flush transition, undercut wall, stair nosing.

Rafal's crews took over the job at the floor levelling stage, re-levelled the flooring in the whole house and perfectly completed the install of wood flooring and baseboards while on a very tight schedule. Rafal literally rescued what could have been a disastrous install by another well known flooring company. Rainer & Marie v. M. · whole-house remodel
