What happens next

  1. We call you back

Within one business day. A short conversation about the rooms, the current floor and what you're hoping for.

  2. We come and measure

Accurate field measurements, a look at the subfloor, and hand-picked samples chosen against what you told us — brought to your house.

  3. You get it in writing

A detailed, itemised estimate. Clients who've compared us to other Valley companies say ours is the one that spells everything out.

Before you send it

A few things worth knowing about how estimates work here.

Is the estimate really free, and is there any obligation?

Yes, and no. The conversation, the in-home visit, the measurements and the written estimate cost you nothing and commit you to nothing. Clients have taken months to decide and some have gone elsewhere. We'd rather that than a deposit taken from someone who wasn't sure.

What do you need from me to quote?

At minimum: which rooms, roughly how many square feet, and what's on the floor now. Photos help enormously — of the rooms, the current floor, and the furniture that's staying, because that shapes which samples we bring. If you already know the species, colour or texture you want, say so; if you have no idea, that's fine too.

Will you come to the house?

For anything beyond a small repair, yes — and it's the only way to give you a number that won't move. Field measurements are more accurate than anything from a floor plan, and a visual inspection finds the things that actually change the price: slab preparation, transitions, baseboard condition, and whatever's hiding under the carpet.

How fast do you reply?

Within one business day, usually much faster. If you call during showroom hours you'll normally speak to a person rather than a machine. Clients have written about getting a same-evening quote and a start date the following Monday, which isn't a promise but does happen.

Do you give a price over the phone?

We'll give you an honest range and tell you what would move it up or down. What we won't do is quote a firm number without seeing the subfloor, because that number would be wrong and one of us would end up unhappy about it.

I got estimates from several top flooring companies in the valley and Olympic's estimate was the most detailed and very reasonable compared to all others. Brooke W.
